Accounts Senior – Shrewsbury Respected Chartered Accountants | Client-Facing Role | Career Progression Our client, a well-established Chartered Accountants firm in Shrewsbury, is seeking an Accounts Senior to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the timely delivery of client compliance routines, ensuring adherence to firm procedures. This includes reviewing financial statements, working papers, and statutory tax returns for a variety of entity types within your allocated client portfolio. Key Responsibilities Manage a client portfolio comprising owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and SMEs Review client records and prepare draft financial statements, addressing queries directly with clients Prepare and submit tax computations accurately and on time Ensure all work is completed in line with firm standards and deadlines Ideal Candidate ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified Previous experience working within a Chartered Accountancy practice Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance Client-focused, proactive, and organised This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to take the next step in their career in Shrewsbury within a supportive and professional firm.
