Job Description
This position offers an opportunity for an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer to take ownership of full-cycle installation projects in commercial settings. You will install complete HVAC systems, interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings, and ensure that each project meets quality, safety, and code requirements while maintaining productivity on site.
Responsibilities

• Execute commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring all work meets project specifications and applicable codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to plan and complete installations accurately.
• Measure, cut, and install ductwork and piping according to specifications, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and support.
• Install rooftop units, air handlers, split systems, exhaust systems, and related HVAC components in commercial buildings.
• Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for ductwork, piping, and equipment installation.
• Perform basic sheet metal fabrication and duct installation to support custom or project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate and organize the jobsite to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA standards and local codes.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues or material needs, and communicate them promptly to project leadership.
• Adhere to high standards of workmanship, including proper sealing, fastening, and testing of installed systems.
• Support construction schedules by managing time effectively and contributing to on-time project completion.

Essential Skills

• Strong, hands-on experience in commercial HVAC installation.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings independently.
• Demonstrated proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing ductwork and HVAC piping.
• Experience installing rooftop units, air handlers, split systems, exhaust systems, and other commercial HVAC components.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, HVAC units, and HVAC service practices in commercial environments.
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in a construction setting.
• Commitment to high standards of workmanship, safety, and jobsite organization.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices applicable to construction and HVAC installation.
• Ability to work effectively on active construction sites and coordinate tasks with other trades.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and duct installation.
• Familiarity with electrical aspects of HVAC systems and equipment connections.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training certification.
• EPA Universal certification for handling refrigerants.
• Experience in construction environments involving commercial HVAC installation and fabrication.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
