All qualified candidates are given consideration for employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy), age, disability, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.ResponsibilitiesWhat's the Job Like?PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist, responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as, but not limited, to lathes and milling machines in a timely, safe and efficient manner.Operate, perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs utilizing CNC Machines.Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.Identify problems before production runs, then start and observe machine operation to detect any other malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls or control media as required.Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance and tooling requirements.Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut and cutting tools to be used.Prove out new programs and make simple edits of NC programs on at least one or more numerically controlled machines.Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.Read, interpret, and understand information in work order, Bill of Materials and other related documentation inside the job packet.Perform inspection of raw material or verify part serial number before machining.Perform work in a safe efficient manner within established work instructions and special processes.Perform finish product inspections.Maximize yields during job and maintain high quality standard to minimize defects.Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.Champion facility goals for Safety, Quality, Innovation and Cost - seek opportunities to provide feedback on process improvements, cost savings, and opportunities to work more efficiently and/or safely.Remain open to feedback and collaboration with other departments and business unitsAll other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent.Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.2+ years of CNC mill or lathe experience.Knowledge of G & M Codes.1+ yrs. knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred.2+ years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing facility is preferred.Experience with reading part drawings/blueprints is preferred.Familiarity with measurement tools is preferred.Computer experience is preferred.Job InfoJob Identification 44167Job Category MachinistPosting Date 09/09/2026, 03:12 PMJob Schedule Full timeLocations 500 Conroe Park West Drive, Conroe, TX, 77303, US
