Payment Processor

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for a payment processor with a financial services organzation near the Bloomington area! Pay: $23-$25/hr Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Onsite Only ASAP Start Key Responsibilities Process daily payments , including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card transactions Apply payments to customer accounts and ensure accurate posting and allocation Reconcile payment transactions with bank statements and internal records Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, errors, and rejected transactions Maintain accurate records of all payment activity for audit and reporting purposes Coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Accounting teams to ensure proper cash application Prepare and maintain daily cash reports and payment summaries Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls Support continuous improvement of payment processing workflows and systems Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1-3 years of experience in payment processing, accounts receivable, or similar role Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry Familiarity with payment methods (ACH, wires, credit cards, checks) Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
