About The Expanded Function Dental Assistant Position Provides general dental assistant duties, taking and processing X-rays, Sterilization, placement of preventative or restorative materials limited to sealants, metallic and composite materials. Duties Include But Are Not Limited To Assists Dentist in providing quality dental care in all venues through which agency Perform general chair side dental assistance Placement of preventative or restorative materials limited to sealants, metallic and nonmetallic restorative materials Placement of temporary filling materials/ crowns, bridges and remove sutures Take and process x-rays including Panorex Computer charting and documentation Perform dental Instrument sterilization duties Performs all assigned duties in a manner consistent with maintaining a safe and respectful patient care environment. Requirements Qualifications, Education, and Knowledge High school diploma EFDA Licensure X-ray certificate CPR certification Dental office experience required EFDA experience preferred Bilingual/bicultural strongly preferred Attendance required at assigned CHDC site(s) Our Mission It is the mission of Community Health and Dental Care to identify gaps in health services and to ensure access to appropriate levels of care for all people in the service area regardless of their ability to pay.
