Physiatrist

A health services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed, full-time Physiatrist for one of its outpatient locations in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:- Schedule: Monday to Friday (no call, no weekends)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Outpatient
- Examining patients who may need to undergo physical therapy
- Diagnosing pain as a result of an injury, disease, or a disabling condition
- Determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients
- Recommending and performing various medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue, and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning
- Monitoring ongoing progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans, as necessary
- Counseling patients and their families and helping them adapt to lifestyle changes
- Performing initial evaluations to determine a patient's need and ability to participate in the rehabilitation process
- Conducting periodic re-evaluations of patients to determine progress and for change or discontinuance of treatment
- Performing other duties as requested
- MD/DO degree
- Active New York Medical License
- Board Certified/Eligible with American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
