ETL Datastage Developer

Job Description
Must Have Qualifications: Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant experience, including strong experience in DataStage (preferably version 11.7 or newer), Shell scripting, databases. Jira required. Strong analytical and development skills are essential.
\n \nResponsibilities
\n• Develop effective solutions to new and existing data reporting requirements and data issues
\nprimarily using DataStage.
\n• Perform root cause analysis and address existing issues.
\n• Find gaps in the existing processes, constantly improve the processes/procedures, automate
\nmanual tasks and provide stability to the applications.
\n• Participate in analysis of agile user stories; participate in and develop solution based on business
\nrequirements and architecture, prototype if necessary, unit test and deploy quality solutions.
\n• Perform analysis and make code changes to the DataStage ETL and Unix jobs.
\n• Support applications in production.
\n \nBasic Requirements:
\n• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience
\n \n• At least 5+ years of experience in DataStage (ETL) preferably 11.7, UNIX, shell scripting, Control-
\nM and db2/Sybase/Oracle SQL, Jira, Bitbucket skills.
\n \n• Strong analytical and development skills required to troubleshoot issues and develop effective
\nsolutions.
\n• Team player with positive attitude.
\n• Innovative in providing solutions and likes to take on challenges with calculated risks.
\n• Strive to constantly improve the application development processes and tools.
\n• Experience in all aspects of system development life cycle methodologies including agile
\ndevelopment
\n• Quick learner of new technologies and tools.
\n• Excellent customer service skills.
\n• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team
\nmembers, stakeholders, and management on both the business and IT sides.
\n \nPreferred Skills
\n• Working experience in Java, SAS and Control-M
\n \n• Experience working on agile teams.
\n• Experience in Mortgage Industry.
