Estimator - Electrical Utility

Job Overview We are a growing regional electrical contractor seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and proposal development for medium and high‑voltage power delivery projects. Salary range $80,000‑$120,000 per year. Responsibilities Develop accurate cost estimates for substation construction, expansion, and modernization projects. Work closely with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to ensure competitive and technically sound bids. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of estimating or project experience within power delivery, utilities, or heavy electrical construction. Experience estimating substation projects. Strong understanding of substation components such as transformers, breakers, bus systems, protection & control, grounding, and structural systems. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, one‑lines, and construction specifications. Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
