Student Aide - Business and Social Science

Schedule Information :

Work schedule will be determined based on student's availability. Must have some availability to work during the following weekday hours:

Monday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Tuesday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Wednesday: 12 - 4:30pm
Thursday: 12 - 4:30pm

Maximum hours per week :
20 hours

General Functions:

• Provide general office assistance as determined by the Business and Social Sciences division

• Answer phones

• Greet visitors and students at front desk

• Assist students, faculty and staff with daily tasks and special projects

Schedule appointments

• Check-in/intake of students

• Make copies

• Data entry

• Give directions

• • Perform other office duties as needed

Qualifications:

Education Requirements :

In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student and registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours for each semester (fall/spring) you are working. For the summer session, student aides must be registered for at least 3 credit hours in summer or at least 6 credit hours for the following fall semester. Be eligible for English 097 or higher

Experience Requirements :

Some general office or customer service experience preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Basic knowledge of Excel and Outlook is helpful. Bilingual students are encouraged to apply, but this is not a requirement of the job.
