Medical Device Quality InspectorClass II and Class III Medical DevicesPosition SummaryOur client is seeking a detail oriented Medical Device Quality Inspector to support the inspection and release of components and materials used in the manufacturing of Class II and Class III medical devices. This role is critical to ensuring only conforming materials enter production and that documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, enjoys working with precision, and understands the importance of quality in products that directly impact patient safety.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming inspection of raw materials, purchased components, and finished goods using established inspection procedures and acceptance criteria.Utilize microscopes, magnification equipment, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect medical device components.Verify incoming materials meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements before release to production.Complete inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Accurately enter inspection results, material dispositions, and supporting documentation into the ERP system.Identify, document, and escalate nonconforming materials in accordance with established quality procedures.Support quarantine and disposition activities for nonconforming products.Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are met.Assist with inventory accuracy by ensuring proper material identification and traceability.Support internal audits and quality system compliance initiatives.Maintain a clean and organized inspection area while following all quality system and safety requirements.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certificate or Associate degree preferred.Previous experience in medical device, life sciences, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry preferred.Experience performing visual inspection using magnification equipment and precision measuring tools.Comfortable reading engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.Strong computer skills with experience entering data into ERP or quality management systems.Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Required CompetenciesDemonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety.Strong documentation skills with the ability to consistently follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Ability to identify defects and maintain focus during repetitive inspection activities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High degree of integrity, accountability, and ownership.Assessment RequirementsCandidates selected for interviews must successfully complete:Good Documentation Practices (GDP) assessment.Attention to detail and inspection competency evaluation.Practical inspection exercise demonstrating the ability to accurately identify defects and complete required documentation.CompensationTarget compensation: Approximately $60,000 annually, depending on experience.Why This OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing medical device organization where quality is central to everything they do.
