Job Description Job Description Private medical group seeks a part time Scribe to work closely with physicians and other health care providers to supply real time EMR charting of physician and patient encounters, labs, x-rays and other evaluations. Working as a Scribe provides the opportunity to shadow health care providers, build key relationships and gain experience that can provide an advantage in the pursuit of healthcare career goals. Earn patient care hours and experience that can directly impact your success if applying to graduate school. Required Skills and Qualifications - Ability to maintain and adjust to changing needs of provider(s) and to location as a whole. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team (be self-directed, energetic, motivated, driven, and humble). - Responsible and mature demeanor with a passion for medicine. - Quick and accurate typing speed. - Experience with medical terminology. - Excellent follow through. - Ability to read, write, comprehend through listening, and speak fluent English. - Ability to operate a computer and/or laptop. Part-time up to 29 hours per week, no weekend work or holidays. Competitive compensation.
