CNA - Medical Surgical

Certified Nursing Assistant – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents an On Call/Per Diem, day shift opening with two shifts per 4-week period, including one weekend shift and must be what the unit posts as needed shifts. In this position you will:

• Contribute to a high functioning team
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient

handling devices * Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference * Other duties as assigned Performs basic nursing functions and other duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Required Qualifications: * Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course., Or CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.

• Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year general hospital experience.
• 1 year experience as a CNA 2.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
