6-12 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Our client, a leader in the autonomous sensing and advanced robotics technology industry, is seeking a Hardware Design Validation Technician to support hardware validation, reliability testing, and product quality initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced technicians and recent graduates with Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degrees who are looking to launch their careers in hardware development and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Execute electrical, mechanical, and software validation tests on components, assemblies, and finished products according to established test plans and procedures.
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify defects, and assist with root-cause analysis efforts.
• Collect, document, and analyze test data; prepare reports and communicate findings to engineering teams.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain test equipment to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
• Support reliability testing programs and assist with validation strategy execution.
• Track and document issues, observations, and corrective actions throughout the testing process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience performing hardware validation, reliability testing, product testing, laboratory work, internships, academic projects, or related hands-on technical work.
• Hands-on experience using diagnostic and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience documenting test results and preparing technical reports.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and data analysis tools such as JMP is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting hardware development or engineering validation testing programs.
• Background working with electromechanical products, sensors, robotics, automotive, or advanced hardware systems.
• Familiarity with reliability testing methodologies and failure analysis processes.
