Ultrasound TechnologistDay Shift: 8:30AM – 4:30PM Monday – Friday Location: Local candidates onlyResponsibilities:Perform or assist in ultrasound examinations and provide technical assistance to the Radiologist.Prepare and examine all patients for ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental procedures and techniques.Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety precautions are taken to protect patients and personnel from electric shock or other hazards.Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment.Ensure adequate supplies are available for use.Assist in the orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound personnel.Capture images onto PACS and transfer to physicians' workstations.Answer telephones, schedule examinations, and may initiate transportation.Perform other duties as required.Requirements:Required RDMS Certification.Must have OB experience and be able to handle high-risk patients.Will be evaluated by an MFM specialist to ensure the ability to capture needed views of the patient/fetus.Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.Preferred Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of office and administrative practices.Skill in the use of personal computers and software.Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
