About the Position
Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have experience with post-CV surgeries. Must have experience with post-stroke care. Must have experience titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Esmolol). Must have experience with BiPAPs. Must have experience utilizing AirVOS. Must have the ability to recognize a deteriorating patient. Description: This position is for an RN specializing in step down care. The unit consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Equipment used includes Philips bedside monitors. The electronic medical record system is EPIC. Candidates should be comfortable floating as needed. Type of patients on the unit include post-operative CV, neuro, respiratory, and step down ICU patients. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented and exhibit a positive demeanor. Dress code requires black scrubs with no hoodies allowed. Candidates will be part of a dedicated team of health care professionals focused on enhancing the patient experience. The position entails every other weekend shifts. No call requirements are needed for this role.
