Accessibility Specialist

Job Overview The Accessibility Specialist will coordinate and communicate special requests and assistance to Sailors, ensuring accommodations are met throughout their voyage with Virgin Voyages. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for all Sailor Accessibility and Medical inquiries. Work with back‑office and shipboard teams to coordinate responses to pre‑cruise Sailor queries in line with current company policy. Evaluate individual Sailor or First Mate situations and, when necessary, authorize relevant forms of recovery pre‑cruise, during, or post‑cruise. Identify and troubleshoot system or phone issues; engage appropriate technical support when required. Conduct research on bookings using Salesforce, Seaware, MXP, RingCentral, and other internal systems. Communicate effectively with leaders and internal/external contacts through oral and written channels. Support training curriculum preparation and presentation as required. Maintain CRM records of all accessibility and medical requests, credits, and refunds. Perform follow‑up and resolution of problems and report outcomes to Senior Leadership. Lead development and enhancement of the accessibility process to optimize procedures and Sailor experience. Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional attitude, presentation, and attire. Self‑starter with the ability to focus on and achieve the company’s needs. Experience with nursing or paramedicine preferred; cruise industry experience strongly preferred. Experience in exploring and approving disability‑related accommodations. Bachelor’s degree. Proficient in Google Suite applications. Knowledge or experience with clinical shipboard electronic health records and health systems. Excellent written and oral communication, with clarity and persistence. Strong organizational and logistical skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Respectful, ethical, and collaborative with a strong sense of inclusivity. Competent with standard software applications and in‑house reservation systems. Benefits and Working Environment The role is based at Virgin Voyages Head Office, Plantation, FL. It follows a hybrid work environment with remote days on Mondays and Fridays, and in‑office Collaboration Days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
