Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Flexjet Vertical Lift S76)

Job descriptionAre you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working on private S76C or S76D aircraft?Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced, certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join our team! This position will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs including airframe structures, engines and aircraft systems. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) will make repairs and conduct tests to keep equipment operating efficiently and safely. Please note, this position may require working nights.This position would complete work at Bridgeport, CT & White Plains, NYMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (A&P)• Basic set of hand tools• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime, as necessary• Advancement of Level will be predicated upon positive annua] reviews while taking into consideration proficiency of responsibilities along with knowledge, skills, and experience:• Level 1• Entry Level• Minimum 1-3 years of experience• Helicopter experience preferred; not required• Successful completion of LevelLevel 2• Minimum 2-5 years of experience• Completed an initial technician training cJass for one of the Flexjet helicopters or completed a training c1ass on initial or advanced troubleshooting• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance to ensure aircraft readinessLevel 3• Successful completion of Level 2• Minimum 3-6 years of experience• Able to troubleshoot• Avionics Entry Level• ERT Qualifications and Aircraft initial training earned on Aircraft Type not on our Ops Spec will be considered during the hiring or review process. Credit for non-fleet type Aircraft ERT Qualifications, Training, specialized skills or equivalent desirable experience will be at the Hiring /Review Mangers discretion• ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS• Training/Ability to operate Forklift• Training/ Ability to operate Ground Support Equipment• Training/ Ability to operate PIV• Training/ Ability on Shop Equipment• Training/ Ability to Balance Stater/Generator• Training/ Ability to Perform Final Ground Runs Training/Ability to use Rads for MIR & T/R Track & BalancePRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Foster the Flexjet culture while embracing the company fundamental principles• Adhere to Flexjet policies and procedures• Gain efficiency in performing assigned duties in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations• Perform quality inspections, repairs, component replacement and apply corrective actions to maintain the airworthiness of the helicopter• Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installations• Ability to sign off logbook, record component entries and document work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Structural Repair Manual (SRM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual• Operate ground support equipment including, but not limited to jacks, nitrogen and air conditioning servicing carts• Support with simple to complex repairs at on-site & off-site location• Support with performing engine runs for system operations and troubleshooting• Support with fueling or defueling helicopters as neededKNOWLEDGE SKILLS:• Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams and manuals• Basic knowledge of avionics systems or aircraft systems• Ability to understand and properly use manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to Standard Operation Procedures (SOP), General Operations Manual (GOM), Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual, and Systems Manual• Basic skill to assemble helicopter parts and components• Skill to use calibrated, hand and specialized tools necessary to perform job• Skill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform job• Skill to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function• Skill to apply sealing compoundsREQUIRED SKILLS• Successful candidate will be highly motivated and work effectively under pressure and time constraints• Must have the ability to multi-task within a team environment• Strong working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs• Possess proven inspection competencies• Must be detail-oriented and well organized; demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude• Specialized aircraft tooling will be furnished by the company• Ability to pass background check for airport security badgeWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
