Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3 shifts per week) Experience: 24 months of current Med Surg/Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting is required. License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license is required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA) are required. Must-Have: - 24 months of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience is required. - Experience with telemetry and reading strips is required. - Orthopedic and general surgery care experience is required. - EPIC charting experience is preferred. - Drip experience with Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone is required. Description: This position involves working in a medical surgical setting with telemetry patients. You will be responsible for monitoring telemetry and post-operative surgical patients. You will also assist in the administration of drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone. A strong foundation in orthopedic and general surgical care is essential. Candidates must have recent experience in a similar role and be proficient in using EPIC for charting. This position requires working every third weekend and may include holiday rotation. Candidates should have the required certifications and an active nursing license.
