Role Description The Sales Team Practice Leader is a full-time, hybrid role based in Methuen, MA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for leading and coaching a sales team, setting targets, and driving new business growth while nurturing existing client relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies, monitoring pipeline activity, and guiding producers on prospecting, presentations, and closing techniques. The Sales Team Practice Leader will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales efforts with client service, marketing, and product initiatives, ensuring a consistent and client-focused experience. This role also involves tracking performance metrics, preparing regular sales forecasts and reports, and supporting professional development and training for sales team members. Responsibilities Lead and coach a sales team; set targets and drive new business growth while nurturing existing client relationships. Develop and implement sales strategies; monitor pipeline activity; guide producers on prospecting, presentations, and closing techniques. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales with client service, marketing, and product initiatives. Track performance metrics, prepare regular sales forecasts and reports. Support professional development and training for sales team members. Qualifications Proven leadership experience in sales or business development, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management of a sales team. Strong background in insurance, employee benefits, or related financial services, with the ability to understand and explain complex benefits strategies. Demonstrated skills in strategic planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with a client-centric and consultative approach. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with strong organizational and time-management skills to balance in-office and remote responsibilities. Ability to build and sustain long-term client and partner relationships, including C-level and HR decision-makers. Proficiency with CRM tools and standard office software to track activities, manage opportunities, and produce reports. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant insurance licenses (or willingness and ability to obtain them within a defined timeframe).
