We are looking for an Account Manager to join our team in Collierville, Tennessee in a contract capacity with the potential for a permanent role. This role supports customer accounts through responsive order coordination, pricing assistance, and cross-functional communication to keep business moving smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and comfortable managing post-sales activity while working closely with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities:
• Manage customer purchase orders from receipt through completion, ensuring entries are accurate and processed on time.
• Provide clients with current pricing details, product availability updates, and suitable substitute options when needed.
• Recognize opportunities to expand account value by suggesting additional products that align with customer needs.
• Monitor open orders, expedited requests, and backordered items, then communicate status updates to internal teams and customers.
• Prepare reports related to orders, shipments, and account activity to support daily operations and customer follow-up.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, helping resolve concerns and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Maintain organized records for customer agreements, order documentation, shipping paperwork, and billing support materials.
• Support electronic data interchange activities by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating corrections as needed.
• Partner with customer contacts and warehouse personnel to coordinate shipping timelines, delivery tracking, returns, and special handling requests.
• Assist across sales support and customer service functions, including order adjustments, returns processing, and other duties assigned by leadership.

• Experience supporting customer accounts in a sales support, post-sales, inside sales, or account management environment.

• Strong background in order entry, order management, and handling purchase orders with close attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate pricing, product availability, shipment updates, and service solutions clearly to customers.

• Working knowledge of electronic data interchange (EDI) processes and the ability to investigate transaction discrepancies (HIGHLY PREFERRED)

• Comfortable collaborating with sales teams, customer service staff, and warehouse operations to meet client expectations.

• Skilled in managing multiple priorities, following through on deadlines, and responding quickly to operational issues.

• Proficiency with reporting, documentation, and maintaining accurate account and contract records.
