Job Description

  • Perform import/export activities with minimal supervision while complying with applicable government regulations, organizational policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Expedite import/export processes by coordinating with regional Import/Export Coordinators, Warehousing/Distribution, and Plant & Production Planning teams.
  • Coordinate logistics for import/export shipments through ocean, air, land, and rail transportation.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation contract managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Ensure all activities are completed accurately and on time while meeting internal and government requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate import/export documentation for U.S. and international customers.
  • Audit team member files to ensure documentation is complete and maintained in an audit-ready condition.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, including audits conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP), EPA, and other applicable agencies.
  • Process orders accurately, timely, and compliantly for assigned countries and/or product portfolios.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable import/export regulations through formal training and self-directed learning.
  • Develop, maintain, and provide training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to assigned business portfolios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, international, and business teams to identify and implement best practices and support continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for international partners and customers.
  • Conduct import/export operations and process training as required.
  • Manage complex global trade accounts and trade lanes.
  • Develop subject matter expertise for assigned business units.
  • Perform other duties and participate in projects as assigned.

 

Skills Required

  • Working knowledge of import/export laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, USDA, EPA, and other government agencies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working with SAP or global trade management systems.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage complex global trade accounts and trade lanes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Experience with agricultural and/or chemical products is an asset.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Logistics, Manufacturing, International Commerce, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in import/export with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Alternatively, 7+ years of equivalent experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Manufacturing, International Commerce, Import, or Export.
  • Training in applicable import/export regulations and global trade practices.

  • Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
  • Start Time : 08:00 AM
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Ability to stay current with applicable import/export regulations.
  • Willingness to participate in internal and external audits.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
  • Ability to provide and participate in operational and process training.
  • Ability to work effectively with international partners, customers, and stakeholders.

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Estimated Salary: $25.16 to $33.16 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
