Yard Associate

Our client, an industry leader in recycling and material processing, is seeking a Yard Associate to join their team. As a Yard Associate, you will be part of the operations support team, contributing to efficient material handling and customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Yard Associate

Location: Traverse City, MI

Pay Range: $17

Shift:
1st shift: Monday – Friday, with some Saturdays as needed

What's the Job?

• Sort, process, and inventory non-ferrous metals by operating shears, balers, loaders, and forklifts
• Assist with purchasing recyclable materials from customers
• Support customers with unloading materials and preparing shipments
• Operate equipment such as loaders and forklifts to process materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

What's Needed?

• Six months’ experience with small equipment operation is preferred
• Knowledge of equipment operation and preventative maintenance
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
