Our mission is to promote growth, independence, and a high quality of life for the individuals we serve.Job Summary:We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nutrition Services Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations and lead the Nutrition Services team. This key leadership role ensures students receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet federal school nutrition standards while supporting specialized dietary needs. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food service, team development, and making a meaningful impact.Sign On Bonus: $2,000!Key Responsibilities:Kitchen Leadership & Menu PlanningDevelop, implement, and standardize recipes and menus for meals, snacks, and special dietary needs (gluten-free, etc.)Ensure all meals meet Federal School Nutrition Standards and submit menus to the Registered Dietitian for approvalPrioritize seasonal, sustainable, and locally sourced food when possibleMaintain and support menu planning softwareOperations, Purchasing & InventoryManage food and supply purchasing based on menus, student dietary needs, and budget considerationsTrack and manage receiving, inventory, invoices, and production recordsEnsure dietary changes and requests are communicated to kitchen staff efficientlyMaintain dietary serving notes and documentation standardsTeam Leadership & Staff SupervisionSupervise Cooks, Kitchen Aides, and Production CookCreate and maintain staff schedules and monitor overtimeLead hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluationsProvide coaching, corrective action, and professional development supportAssist with cooking, food preparation, serving, cleaning, and dishwashing as neededCollaboration & EducationPartner with group home teams to support healthy, age-appropriate menu and snack implementationOccasionally attend mealtimes within residential settings to provide education and supportFollow evidence-based nutrition practices and company standardsScheduleFull-time, Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pmIncludes weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as needed.Must be responsive to coverage needs and emergenciesComprehensive Employee Benefits PackageAt Genesee Lake School, a MyPath Company, we are committed to supporting our employees' well-being, financial security, and professional growth.
