We are excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time, patient-focused Primary Care Physician to become part of our dedicated team at the Salisbury VA Medical Center. Benefits- Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases.
- Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off annually, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a potential 5-day paid absence for continuing medical education (CME).
- Retirement: Traditional federal pension with 5 years of vesting and a federal 401K plan with contributions of up to 5% from the organization.
- Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance options, many of which can be carried into retirement.
- Licensure: Must hold one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
- CME: Potential reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year for continuing medical education.
- Malpractice: Liability protection provided at no cost, including tail coverage.
- Contract: No employment contract required for physicians, with no significant restrictions on moonlighting.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Call Schedule: No on-call duties.
- U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA policy.
- Education: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
- Licensure: Candidates must have a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty is necessary.
- Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
