Direct Materials Sourcing Intern - The Toro Company

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program.

What Will You Do?

Make an impact this summer! This position will be involved in the development and leadership of several projects that will contribute positively to Toro’s overall business. Potential projects include:

• Define, develop, and implementing future cost saving opportunities
• Mapping the cost structures of suppliers
• Identifying supply base risks and implementing controls
• Understanding and creating strategies to optimize high volume part pricing

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• Working towards a bachelors degree within operations or supply chain

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Confident, proactive, and ability to produce high-quality deliverables with little direct oversight
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office skills (must demonstrate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong sense of responsibility and accountability – takes ownership and demonstrates initiative and follow-up skills
• Adaptable and flexible – ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities
• Ability to multitask and to work in a fast paced environment
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and engaging self-starter
