St. Mary's General Hospital is a 293 bed, acute care hospital that offers a broad range of cardiovascular services as well as cancer care, maternal-child health, and outpatient behavioral health services. Case Assignments: Cardiac cases with a mix of general. No peds, no trauma.

Shifts: M-F w/low utilization of call requirement

Team Leadership: Dr. Harish Nandigam, Chief Anesthesiologist

Team Highlights: MD only model with Anesthesiology Residency Program

Responsibilities: Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment. Obtains and/or verifies patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition. Performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. Completion of approved Cardiac Fellowship. Currently licensed as a physician.
