Data Analyst - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Analyst for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in New York, NY. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a senior level Data Analyst to support the Security Metrics & Reporting function. This role supports business decision-making by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data using accessible tools and methods, focusing on deriving insights from reports and dashboards without requiring deep coding or technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and organize data from internal systems, spreadsheets, and reports
• Analyze trends, patterns, and business performance using Excel or BI tools
• Prepare visualizations, charts, and summary reports for stakeholders
• Collaborate with business units to define reporting needs and ensure data accuracy
• Support ad hoc data requests and routine reporting
• Maintain documentation and ensure consistency across reporting processes

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience as a Data Analyst
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data in a business context
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Basic understanding of data governance and privacy principles

Desired skills:

• Any exposure to SQL and relational databases is a plus

Pay range: $57.52 - $61.52 per hour
