This role sits within the Marketing team and is responsible for driving Consuela's organic social media presence primarily across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok while helping grow a highly engaged, loyal community around the brand.This person lives at the intersection of creativity, culture, trends, storytelling, and analytics. They understand how to create content that resonates emotionally while also performing strategically within ever-evolving platform algorithms. The Social Media Strategist is equal parts creative thinker, trend forecaster, community builder, and operational executor.Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Marketing, this role partners closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, Retail, Ecommerce, Customer Experience, and external partners to ensure social content reflects the heart of the Consuela brand while driving meaningful engagement and audience growth.Successful candidates are naturally curious, deeply plugged into culture and trends, and energized by fast-paced environments with constant evolution. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about building community through storytelling and content that feels authentic, joyful, artistic, and unmistakably Consuela.This role is based onsite in Austin, Texas, and remote candidates will not be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Strategy & ExecutionOwn and execute Consuela's organic social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram and TikTokDevelop platform-specific content strategies that align with brand priorities, product launches, campaigns, and storytelling momentsCreate and manage social content calendars that balance strategic planning with agile, trend-responsive content opportunitiesPartner cross-functionally to ensure alignment between social storytelling, brand campaigns, retail initiatives, ecommerce priorities, and community engagementIdentify opportunities to increase reach, engagement, follower growth, and brand relevance through algorithm-friendly content strategiesContinuously evaluate platform performance and optimize content approaches based on insights, trends, and analyticsContent Development & StorytellingConcept and create compelling social-first content that reflects the Consuela brand voice, aesthetic, and spiritCollaborate closely with Creative and Brand teams to translate campaigns, launches, and brand moments into engaging social storytellingCapture and produce real-time content including photo, video, Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and community-driven contentWrite engaging social copy that feels authentic, conversational, and aligned with the Consuela brandMaintain a strong understanding of evolving content formats, editing styles, hooks, and storytelling approaches that drive performance on Instagram and TikTokHelp evolve Consuela's social presence in ways that feel culturally relevant while remaining true to the brandCommunity EngagementFoster meaningful engagement with the Consuela community across social platformsMonitor comments, DMs, tags, and conversations to ensure timely and thoughtful engagementBuild relationships with customers, creators, brand fans, and community Instagram and TikTok specificallyDeep understanding of social media algorithms, platform behaviors, and engagement driversStrong creative eye with experience capturing and editing social-first photo and video contentExceptional storytelling and copywriting skills with an ability to adapt tone across platforms and audiencesStrong understanding of internet culture, trends, creators, and evolving
