HVAC Construction Project Manager

Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking an HVAC Construction Project Manager in San Diego to lead complex commercial mechanical projects to successful completion.

Impact

• Manage large-scale HVAC projects that create comfortable environments for thousands of occupants

• Drive project profitability through effective cost control and resource management

• Build lasting client partnerships through exceptional project delivery and service

• Lead high-performing teams to achieve safety, quality, and schedule objectives

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of commercial HVAC construction projects from planning through closeout

• Develop comprehensive project execution plans including schedules, budgets, and resource requirements

• Lead project teams including engineers, superintendents, and specialty trade contractors

• Maintain regular communication with clients, architects, and general contractors

• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to meet objectives

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout construction

• Manage project finances including change orders, billing, and cost tracking

• Oversee system startup, commissioning, and warranty activities

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience

• Demonstrated success managing HVAC projects valued at $3M+ from inception to completion

• Strong leadership abilities and experience managing diverse project teams

• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills

• Proficiency in project management software and construction scheduling applications

Nice-to-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification

• Experience with hospital, laboratory, or other critical facility projects
