Assistant Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community team in West Palm Beach, FL . The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of direct apartment maintenance experience , strong HVAC knowledge, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to residents. HVAC experience is required , and bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of apartment maintenance experience required
HVAC certification and hands-on troubleshooting experience required
EPA Certification preferred
Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong customer service and communication skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in Florida weather conditions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Complete resident service requests efficiently and professionally
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, and electrical issues
Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers
Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property
Conduct inspections of buildings, amenities, and common areas
Repair drywall, paint interiors and exteriors, and perform basic carpentry tasks
Maintain community grounds and ensure curb appeal standards are met
Assist with pool maintenance and inspections when needed
Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in the on-call rotation
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA guidelines
Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members

Preferred Qualifications

EPA Certification
Pool Certification
Experience working in Class A, B, or C multifamily communities
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
