Sterile Processing Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper decontamination, processing, and sterilization of surgical and medical instruments. This position requires flexibility to float to various departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Utilize sterilization equipment and adhere to sterilization protocols.
• Float to Endoscopy and Sterile Processing Departments as required.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sterilization processes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Certification as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) is required.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Epic and Censitrac.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Additional Information

This position is associated with a shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, with variable weekend call responsibilities. All candidates must be prepared to include personal demographic information in their application.
