Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in San Francisco, California. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to obstetric patients within a busy labor and delivery department. The staff member will support a mix of low and high acuity cases, including cesarean sections and postpartum care, with responsibilities across various shifts, including nights.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse license, AHA ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications (must be in hand at time of submission), at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery Nursing with a minimum of 1 recent year, postpartum experience, ability to circulate for cesarean sections, previous travel assignment, capacity to work four weekend shifts, and float to other UCSF facilities
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-acuity patients, experience with labor triage, and proficiency in Epic charting system
• Additional Information: All RTO requests over 7 days must be approved by the manager at the time of offer; RTO cannot be within the first two weeks of start date. Orientation begins at 4:00 pm PST on the Monday prior to the start date. Resources may be reassigned within a 75+ mile radius during assignment. Candidates must have completed a BSN or higher, and provide employment history with dates, units, and manager references for rehire eligibility.
