Project Manager

The Company A large, long‑established union steel erection contractor delivering major commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the United States. The organisation employs several hundred union tradespeople and a sizeable professional staff, operating at high annual project volume. They are expanding nationally following a recent acquisition and have a fabrication division planned for the coming years. Current work includes airports, distribution centres, and advanced manufacturing facilities, with significant multi‑million‑dollar steel packages already completed and further backlog secured. The Role You will manage steel erection and fabrication projects from award through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, and profitability. Key responsibilities: Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Coordinate equipment, materials, and field operations. Prepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and project documentation. Lead progress meetings with clients and internal teams. Produce productivity reports, financial projections, and support billings. Build strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and partners. The Candidate Must‑haves: 3+ years’ commercial construction project management experience. Ability to read and interpret construction documents. Understanding of structural steel fabrication or erection. Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
