Warehouse Associate

Job SummaryThe primary responsibilities include moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes. The weight of these items ranges from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. Employees will perform these tasks manually and with the use of hand carts. Protective footwear meeting ASTM F2413-11 standards and a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best" is required.Work ScheduleThe normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.ResponsibilitiesProcess orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.Lift and carry boxes ranging in weight from 10-100 lbs on a regular basis, without assistance.Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces.Read labels, process incoming and outgoing orders, and use a proprietary computer system to track orders and determine box locations.Operate handheld scanners and balance on ladders.Load, operate, and move hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.Load and shrink wrap pallets at ground level or on carts, and load boxes onto pallets and trucks manually and with material handling aids.QualificationsAbility to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.Capability to work without assistance to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes including up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surface/elevation.Proficiency in reading and writing English.Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods.Additional InformationThis position does not require the worker to be a US Person to meet ITAR regulations.This position has the potential to be Temp to Perm.Public Trust Clearance does not apply to this requisition.A BI Exception does not apply to this requisition.Service Contract Act does not apply to this position.This position is not for a building move.Located in a vibrant city, this role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and engaging environment.
