Safety and Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities Ensures all laws and regulations are followed, making recommendations in order for company and vendors to be in compliance with local, state, federal, etc. laws, rules, and regulations. Continuously monitors and evaluates activities associated with marketing and execution of processes Revises and implements various administrative policies and procedures including safety forms and report formats Develops and implement safety programs and training activities for company employees as needed Develops safety procedures, plans, permits, and reports Performs compliance audits and implements follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Other duties as required Other Skills & Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Good analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities Ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented environment Working knowledge of basic regulatory frameworks, general regulatory and internal control requirements as well as industry knowledge in all aspects of compliance Capability to be a strong leader and motivator as well as has having sound judgment and impeccable integrity Highly organized and focused on delivering results Must have experience in analysis and reporting, along with a deep working knowledge of various financial products and services Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in business or related field required 3 or more years of related work experience Industry related experience preferred Certifications & Licenses Professional certification may be required in some areas Physical Requirements Job requires the ability to use vision, adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen. Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment. Job will require presence on-site at the assigned work location. Job requires attendance and dependability.
