This is an opportunity for an experienced machining professional to lead production operations while helping drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.Machine Shop Supervisor Benefits and Compensation:Competitive compensation based on experience401(k) with company matchingHealth insuranceDental insuranceHealth savings account (HSA)Life insurancePaid time offStable full-time schedule with overtime opportunitiesDay shift positionMonday through Friday scheduleLong-term career growth opportunity within a manufacturing environmentMachine Shop Supervisor Requirements & Qualifications:Must Haves:Minimum 5 years of machining and CNC programming experienceProven experience programming and setting up CNC lathesStrong experience operating manual lathes and millsAbility to supervise shop floor operations and lead production teamsExperience working with OEMs and tooling suppliers to source and purchase toolingStrong understanding of tooling practices and machining processesExperience using precision measuring equipment including calipers and gaugesAbility to troubleshoot production and machining issues efficientlyExperience maintaining production schedules and minimizing downtimeAbility to collaborate with engineering teams on fixtures, tooling, and process improvementsStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standardsDay-to-Day Responsibilities:Program and set up Mazak CNC lathes for production operatorsSupport fixture design and tooling setup in collaboration with engineering teamsOversee daily production flow and ensure manufacturing targets are metPerform quality inspections to verify finished products meet specificationsOptimize machine setups and machining processes for efficiency and productivityMonitor shop safety, cleanliness, and organization standardsCoordinate inventory levels for raw materials and finished goodsAddress machining, tooling, and production issues in real time to reduce downtimeMachine Shop Supervisor Preferred Background & Skills:Experience programming Mazatrol T Plus CNC controllersExperience programming Mazatrol SmoothG CNC controllersCAD/CAM programming experienceExperience optimizing toolpaths for improved tool life and cycle timesExperience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and material handling equipmentPrevious leadership experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environmentExperience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in production settings
