Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring a Planner!/strongbr / br / ThestrongPlanner/strongis responsible for planning trucks to service contract customer freight and ensure optimal equipment utilization. pstrongemSchedule: Sunday-Thursday 7am-5pm/em/strong/p pstrongResponsibilities:/strong/p ul liEnsures customer freight is planned for on time pickup and delivery./li liManages trailer pools in designated market./li liMaintains direct contact with members of the organization to coordinate and increase the efficiency driver, truck, and trailer assignments./li liBalances divisional network at least two to three days in advance./li liMaximizes utilization by minimizing dwell under loads- specifically, looks for opportunities to re-appoint loads that would be early, looks for opportunities to convert to drop trailer pools with customers, etc./li liWorks with lane flow and customer commitments to match inbound/outbound for the areas./li liUnderstands the area customer KPIs such as the trailer pool requirements, service numbers, commitments (Lanes/Volume and transit)./li liCollaborates with the pricing, sales, and account management teams./li liCollaborates with Account Manager to develop customer account./li liUnderstands drivers divisional yield off of lanes that touch the assignment areas./li liWorks with customers directly to discuss accounts and may conduct in-person meetings if necessary./li /ul strongQualifications:/strong ul liBachelors degree in business or logistics or equivalent./li liThree years of experience in the motor carrier operations./li liProficient with Microsoft Office suite./li liModerate knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography preferred./li /ul pstrongJob benefits:/strong/p ul li401(k)/li liDental Insurance/li liHealth Insurance/li liLife Insurance/li liPaid Time Off/li liTuition Reimbursement/li liVision insurance/li /ul pstrongBenefit Conditions:/strong/p ul liOnly full-time employees are eligible./li /ul p/p pstrongWhere family, careers, and success come together!/strongbr / br / span style=color:#ffffff;#zr3/span/p Pay Range: - per_year, General Benefits:
