Position: Electronic Assembler (Soldering/SMT)

Location: Antioch, TN

Pay: $19.50 to $20/hour

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of production assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to solder at the component level, including Through-Hole and SMT components.
• Experience working with fine-pitch components requiring precise soldering techniques.

Type: Full-time; Contract  

Schedule: Monday - Friday

HB Staffing is seeking an Electronic Assembler (Soldering/SMT)to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

• Perform soldering and desoldering of various-sized components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Conduct both Through-Hole and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) soldering.
• Assemble mechanical and electronic products according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and handling of hazardous materials.
• Interpret work orders and communicate effectively with department leads when assistance is needed.
• Complete routine and non-routine assembly tasks independently and as part of a team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with selection and procurement of parts and materials as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to use basic hand tools, including electric screwdrivers, cutters, and pliers.
• Knowledge of common electronic and electro-mechanical components.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and organizational skills.
• Understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices.
• Prior or current J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certifications preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards.
