Job Description: Full-time position with benefits. Work hours are from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM Provide instructional support under the guidance of certified teachers and non-instructional assistance under the supervision of the Principal. Offer direct, individualized support to students, implementing IEPs as directed by teachers and specialists. Maintain clear communication with teachers and the Principal regarding student progress and completed tasks. Ensure the safety and well-being of assigned children in various school settings. Assist in creating a positive learning environment by preparing materials, reading to students, and supporting classroom activities. Provide constructive feedback on student work as directed by the teacher. Maintain accurate records, conduct inventories, and perform basic administrative tasks as needed. Assist with behavior management and reinforce positive student conduct. Support students' social and emotional development in alignment with school policies. Additional Requirements: Previous experience working with children in educational or group settings is preferred. Physical ability to assist students, which may involve lifting. Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and listen effectively. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including database management, word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with teachers and staff. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting diverse learners. Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and classroom dynamics. Basic understanding of child development and learning processes. Use technology tools required for instruction Willingness to participate in professional development opportunities. Valid driver's license. Physical Requirements (Must be able to): Assist students as needed, which may involve lifting up to 25 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the school day. Bend, twist, reach, and occasionally sit on the floor during instruction. Respond quickly to students' needs and emergency situations. Use technology tools required for instruction and classroom management.
