Child Care Assistant Teacher

Job Summary Bright Horizons Assistant Teacher positions are available full‑time and part‑time for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in Cambridge, MA. Candidates will support early education at Technology Children’s Center – MIT onsite Child Care, providing supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in compliance with Bright Horizons policies. Responsibilities Assist with hands‑on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children. Maintain open communication with parents, sharing day‑to‑day milestones. Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines. Qualifications 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. One year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred. CDA, Associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field preferred. Must pass required state and company background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10–40 pounds; occasionally heavier. Demonstrate full range of motion for lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, and other activities. Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies. Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy. Full set of physical requirements available at Compensation Hourly rate ranges from $19.60 to $22.40 per hour. The range may vary based on experience, education, and location. Position eligible for $1,000 hiring incentive, payable after 100 days of employment; expires June 30, 2026.
