Machine Operator

Location: Watertown, SD

Pay: $20-$25/hour

Hours: Various Shifts Available

Description:

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production equipment to ensure efficient operations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor automated production equipment to manufacture products according to quality and safety standards.
• Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and equipment calibrations to maintain efficient production flow.
• Conduct routine inspections of finished products using measuring tools and visual quality checks to ensure specifications were met.
• Load raw materials into machines and monitor production runs to minimize downtime and maximize output.

Essential Skills:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read measurements and use basic inspection tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Brookings, SD.

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $49920.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
