Description of Work Property Research: Review ownership records, deed descriptions, and zoning information to understand property details. Field Evaluation: Visit properties to inspect conditions, interview owners, and gather essential information. Valuation Methods: Determine appropriate appraisal approaches and analyze comparable sales and market trends. Report Preparation: Develop complete appraisal reports, update valuations, and provide documentation for hearings. Legal Support: Testify at hearings, assist staff attorneys, and supply information for claim settlements. Technical Guidance: Support project teams by reviewing appraisals and advising on policy compliance. Work Schedule & Additional Information Full‑time employment. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. Telework: Opportunity to work from home part‑time, up to 5 days per pay period, subject to a reliable high‑speed internet connection and approved Pennsylvania location. Telework eligibility may change at any time. If telework is not available, you may report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008 (before taxes). Qualifications Active Pennsylvania Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser certification. Active motor vehicle license. Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirement.
