What is the opportunity? Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in Boone, NC . Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritans Purse are to help people in Jesus name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Maintenance Technician , you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Assist other facilities staff with facilities and grounds maintenance including snow removal.
- Assist in loading and unloading various equipment and supplies.
- Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Five (5) years of maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Construction/ carpentry experience; holder of contractor, electrical, or plumbing license is an added plus
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Maintain a good driving record and a valid North Carolina CDL driver's License that includes passenger and other applicable endorsements. CDL to be obtained within 3-6 months after hire date
