Position Description

CORE Construction is seeking a skilled and motivated Private Utility Locator to support preconstruction and construction operations by identifying and mapping underground utilities. This role plays a critical part in reducing risk, improving planning accuracy, and eventually supporting VDC integration. Key Responsibilities include:

• Perform utility locating using EMF, GPR, acoustic tools, and rodders
• Conduct electromagnetic sweeps to identify conductive utilities
• Perform GPR scans for non-conductive utilities
• Trace sewer/storm lines using locatable rodder
• Collect data using RTK equipped EMF Locator
• Mark utilities per APWA standards
• Identify site constraints and conflicts
• Maintain equipment and follow safety procedures

Position Requirements

• 1-3+ years utility locating experience
• Experience with EMF equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Preferred:
• GPR experience
• Mapping experience
• Knowledge of utility systems
• Must work well in a team environment and be committed to client service
• Must be willing to travel within the state of Arizona
• A valid Driver's License
