Automation & Control Systems Engineer

Salary: $80,000-$130,000 Job Title: Automation and Control Systems Engineer Job #: 1C Location: Albany, NY Category: Manufacturing/Engineering Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Our client is currently seeking an Automation & Control Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position with incredible benefits. Responsibilities Establishment of control system architectures, strategies for machines, processes, and automation systems. Work alongside engineering teams. Develop, document, and implement software for control systems, including hands‑on commissioning and debugging. Act as a point of contact for suppliers and customers. Travel as required for support services at customer facilities. The identification and rectification of control‑related issues. Ensure the operations sections of maintenance manuals are consistently updated. Contribute to troubleshooting, project planning, and maintaining documentation for control systems. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering is required. 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering is preferred. Familiarity with programming commercial robots (ABB, Fanuc, Kuka) and designing electrical schematics; AutoCAD experience preferred. Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand hydraulic/pneumatic schematics. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent time and project management abilities. Skilled in MS Office Suite with a solid understanding of computer hardware, system architecture, and communications. Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, and a sense of urgency.
