Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New Mexico licensure as an Occupational Therapist (required)
• Previous experience working in schools preferred; open to candidates who are passionate about school-based practice
• Familiarity with elementary, middle, and high school student populations
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and effectively document progress
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet student needs in a dynamic setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs
• Assess student abilities and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Collaborate with educators and related service providers to support student progress
• Document and report on student development, maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making
• Adapt therapy techniques to suit the unique needs of each student, promoting skill development, participation, and independence
