Fire Alarm Technician (GFPFAAVA-3)

Job Description

A growing fire protection company is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join its team in Ashland, VA. This opportunity is ideal for a technician with experience inspecting, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing commercial fire alarm systems who is looking for a stable company with strong earning potential and long-term growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems in commercial facilities
Respond to service calls and diagnose fire alarm system malfunctions
Repair, replace, and adjust fire alarm equipment as needed
Perform inspections in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes
Prepare accurate inspection reports and service documentation
Communicate findings and recommendations with customers
Maintain service records, tickets, and required paperwork
Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on fire alarm experience
Valid driver's license
Working knowledge of fire alarm inspection, testing, and service procedures
Experience with one or more of the following systems:
- Simplex
- Notifier
- Fire-Lite

Preferred Qualifications

NICET certification
Advanced fire alarm diagnostics and repair experience
Experience with special hazard suppression systems including FM-200 and Halon
