QA QC Document Administrator

Title: Quality Assurance/Quality Control Document Administrator Position Type: Contract Location: Columbus, OH Reports to: Quality Assurance Quality Control Supervisor Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary: PIC Group has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Document Administrator supporting a 105MW Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP) construction project in central Ohio. The QA/QC Document Administrator Provides site support to the QA-QC Supervisor with respect to documentation control, filing, compiling, and reporting related to all quality aspects of erection activities of the CHP Project. The QA/QC Document Administrator may also support the review of Contractor's monthly claimed progress and validation, as assigned by the Project QA-QC Supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide clerical duties related to the maintenance of technical documentation within the Quality group.
  • Provide technical documentation management in support of the Project and as specifically related to all matters of quality, quality control, quality records, quality reports, NCRs, etc.
  • Provide technical document support to the QA-QC Supervisor.
  • Maintain physical quality documents and records; organized electronically and hard copy as needed.
  • Track and communicate the status of outstanding corrections to ensure timely submission of corrective actions by Contractor.
  • Assist the QA-QC Supervisor in the verification of completeness of Handover Packages from Contractor.
  • Assist, as needed and requested, with other clerical duties and functions for the site project staff.
  • Provide support in claim management and documentation, including variation management and reporting, and contract entitlements.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Collaborate and work alongside Contractor in all areas of works for the project.
  • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Attend regular status meetings with project team.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
  • Provide correspondence input for instructions to ensure strict adherence to project requirements.

  • Demonstrated successful performance as an Owner's Quality Rep on multiple projects with respect to technical documentation management.
  • Knowledgeable of and demonstrated ability to use ProCore document management software.
  • Ability to cross-reference information from multiple sources and identify discrepancies.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and walking.
  • Must be able to hear emergency alarms, see peripherally, have a keen sense of smell, and be able to use all extremities.
  • Capable of lifting to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
Education / Experience:
  • Associate degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of technical documentation support for projects in excess of $50mUSD.
  • Additional education/training in Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management preferred; NCMA certification not required.
  • 3+ years of site experience in technical works, related to power and/or utility stations, as specifically applicable to the quality aspects of a project.
  • Familiar with employment guidelines (Trade Unions) and safety regulations.
