Evenings, overnights, and weekends come with pay differentials.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic care team at The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and customer service to our patients and their families.Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The RN will also maintain accurate and comprehensive resident care plans, follow physician's orders, and document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and treatmentsSupervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing assistants to ensure that resident care is delivered in accordance with established standards and policiesDevelop, implement, and maintain accurate and comprehensive resident care plansFollow physician's orders and render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician ordersTranscribe physician's orders promptly and accuratelyReview patient records daily to assure accuracy and completenessDocument comprehensive and complete nursing notesVisit each resident daily to evaluate resident needsMaintain accurate awareness of residents on alert listDocument and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessaryAdminister medication according to procedureMaintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which he/she is responsibleInitiate any and all emergency procedures as necessaryDemonstrate correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job descriptionRequirements:Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing or collegeMust be CPR certifiedMust have a current and active RN license in the state, or be in the process of obtaining oneNew graduates welcome!Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English languageMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionsMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general publicMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term careMust possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnelMust possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skillsMust be familiar with drug actions and interactionsMust have knowledge of restorative nursing rehabilitation policies and utilizes appropriatelyMust have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residentsMust be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practicesMust be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergenciesBenefits:Competitive and Weekly PayHoliday Pay for Hourly and Salaried EmployeesOvertime Pay for Hourly EmployeesCareer Advancement OpportunitiesExclusive Employer Discount ProgramAvailable for Eligible Team Members:Employer-Paid Life Insurance401(k) with Employer MatchVacation and Personal TimeHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceWe are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
