Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Telemetry Float RN provides specialized nursing care to cardiac patients, primarily on PCU and cardiac cath units. This role requires recent and extensive experience in cardiac patient management, including handling cardiac catheterizations and related procedures. The nurse must be adaptable to floating across units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor cardiac patients, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments specific to cardiac care, including post-procedure management.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform post-procedure assessments, including cardiac telemetry interpretation.
• Assist with patient education on cardiac health and medication adherence.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license, with Rhode Island license or multi-state compact license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent cardiac nursing experience, including cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications, with documentation verifying the certifications.
• Have recent experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care.
